the only one i know of is vortech but they are fairly pricey and not suitable for a small tank unless they have started doing smaller pumps

I got the aquamarine several months ago now and i am more than pleased with the tank itself, but i got so fedup with the noise of the filtration i stripped down the blue sump box, bought a tunze reefpack 200 (put the main filter in the tank & the protein skimmer in the sump) changed the powerhead and added a tunze 9025 pump to the tank. this was done about 10 days ago & although the filter relies on the biological side to be done through live rock, all seems well so far

I have two korolias. They do the job just fine and are a lot cheaper than the Vortech!
40UK gallons is 181 Litres so flow around the tank should be in the region of 3620 LPH. Its better to have a few smaller powerheads than one big one. Again this is a guide based on an "average" setup. If your planning slow clumsy fish then you'll want less flow and some corals might want more.
Make sure you get water movement in every area of the tank but position the powerheads so some areas are faster moving that others.

I agree with EagleC, the Koralias are really good (I run two in my tank). They diffuse the flow, are relatively small and anonymous in the tank and doesn't make a sound. And they don't cost a fortune!
