Me again - just checked on google about what interpet 8 treats (should have done that first really, hey ho, my brain isn't firing on all cylinders today!). It treats mouth fungus which is different to mouth rot as it is a fungal infection rather than bacterial. Myxazin can be bought online and apparently they deliver quickly but if you can get it in a shop that would be quicker still

ive just checked and it was myxazin by waterlife that i used first, that had no effect.
Ive just seen my vet, he wants me to put the photos on cd so he can blow them up and have a good look. He told me to isolate poor mr worm fish, so he is now in the spare tank on his own. (yes I did use water from the main tank) I will post photos on here too thanks again for all your help i really appreciate it |

Hi Mouse
Don't forget to put a filter in with mr worm fish , or the ammonia and nitrite will quickly build up to toxic levels ... Best wishes , for you and him .. Where are you based ? In Richmond ( London ) Mr Andre is very good , and is a specialist fish vet. P.G Andre 161 Kew Rd Richmond Surrey TW9 2PN 020 8940 0986 |

im not sure how to feed him to be honest! Ive tried to hold him in the water and help him eat but I just cant get near him, as soon as he feels any kind of movement he's off and away! He's very fast!
Ive put fish food in with him, and also a plec tablet thingy, as it doesnt float around, it just sits on the bottom of the tank I thought it might be easier for him to get himself that way. He's called Mr Worm Fish because that's what my 2 year old daughter named him! How I got him was, when my mum was here to stay at christmas one of the goldfish died, and my mum felt so bad for my daughter because she was upset by it, that my mum took her to the fishshop and let her choose any fish she wanted. Not the best idea I know, but thats nanas for you! My daughter told her nana the fish looked like a worm, and she started calling him mr worm fish. She loves the fish, she knows exactly how many are in the tank! She will pull up her little chair and sit by the tank watching the fish for ages! Shes very aware that Mr Worm Fish is poorly, and he is now in the 'special dr's tank' She's very attatched to him, she even asked me last week if we could take him for a walk to the park to play on the swings....trying to explain to a 2 year old why a fish cant be taken for a walk like her dog can be is quite tricky! |
