... and in france apparently. anyway - as I mentioned in the other thread there is a chance customs will take it and destroy it and you'll be £20 out of pocket. I believe the chance is pretty slim though.

God yeah, thats enough to treat about 6 fish. she'd use 4-5 tablets for a course tops, if you put it in food. if you go for the water soluble route, youd probably use half of the tub. Depends what the usage guide says. If she was eating the stuff a 1 day dose would be about an eighth to a tenth of a tablet, and thats assuming she would miss half the food! A human would only need 1-2 250 mg tablets a day! Id generally recommend for hexamita to be completely clear the course would need to be a minimum of 9 days, possibly 14. Again its one of those diseases there manufacturers recommendations often prove to be a little optimistic.

Okay, so what i was thinking is, well asking first actually, penfold, her little sidekick is displaying signs of fungus now. do u think he has just fungus or what she has? he has normal poo by the way.

if you suspect he may have the same, i will need to do it water soluble.

if not, she likes to be hand fed as her giant eyes hinder her, and i was thinking this would be more effective as it will go straight to her gut. I can keep feeding her andmake sure she gets the full dose each day.

what ya reackon LHG?

Thanks Bumbalina! I feel much more positive now! x

If the two fish have shared tanktime , or their tanks share equipment etc, id probably treat them both, in water or food doesnt really matter, just depends whether you can get them to eat it or not.

Firstly Howie..... <Taps foot>
Where the monkeys have you been while all this has been going on? Eh? EH?!!
You got me into this royal mess!!

I love her really, she has a lovely character!

Regarding the vet,my stinking vet would not call Andre, instead they insisted I call the reptile and aquatic centre I didn't know we had in my town who wanted to see her etc etc and charge me an arm and a leg for the meds.
She didn't 'see any point' in struggling to diagnose between her, who doesn't have a clue about fish, and a guy miles away from us who she would only be able to describe the problems to over the phone. She said I would be better off going to the fish vet.

The stuff she needs is coming now anyway!
I don't need that horrid cow's help!!

_______________
Edit: Just for the record, Andre was very sweet and helpful, his diagnosis over the phone going by my very in depth descriptions was the same as LHG's.
