Fish vet phone numbers

Mr PG Andre
161 Kew Road
Richmond

Phone 0208 940 1090

I've called this one and while he couldn't help with my problem (don't let that put you off - long story) he did try and was quite helpful. Howard has also spoken to him and gave good feedback.

Cathie recommended one too

Mr Wildgoose at Midland Veterinary Surgery
655 High Road Leyton,London E10 6RA
Tel 020 8539 3538

These are proper fish vets - if you call them they should at least be able to advise even if you can't see them.

Stay calm - it will work out in the end She's not on her last fins yet

Mr Andre will be ringing me at 3pm to discuss.
Receptionist knew all about Metrowhatsit <Phew!> and said it is prescription only, they would have to see Oprah. Explained I am in Wiltshire, she agreed the journey would not be fair on her and I had to wait and see what the main man says when he gets in.
She said he may send me some but then again he may not due to legalities.
So &

A DEVELOPMENT:

Another normal poo from her (She had one last night too) but it is trailing, not dropping off.
It is thick and brown following all the bloodworm she pogged down last night.
Any good?

My best friend has just graduated as a Vet at RVC and has confessed she doesn't have a clue about fish. They are taught about intensive fisheries and treatments for things like fish lice but that's about all - she had more lectures on legalities and lawsuits than fish.

This is probably the reason the vet won't give you the medications you asked for because if they get blamed for incompetence by handing out prescription medications they could be struck off the veterinary register which means you aren't allowed to practice in the UK. Whether you know how to correctly medicate fish or not, the vet has no surefire way of knowing whether you actually know what you're talking about.

The 'fish vets' people have given you the contact details of will have trained for an extra 2 years after graduating as a vet usually under some kind of apprenticeship scheme so should be more open to helping you.

No call from Mr.Andre yet.....

poop not being white any more is a good sign - although a little premature to be having a party. The trailing is probably a little constipation.

The vet on the other hand is probably very busy with paying cutomers and their prize koi etc. If you get a call before the end of the day I'd be grateful
