One of my fish caught it, I did an immediate partial water change, tropical fishlopaedia recommends adding salt, but doesn't say how much?
Any help would be appreciated. I have no car as it is broke and so cannot get to the pet store :(

You can't add table salt as it has anti-caking agents.

As a non-driver I would I would recommend public transport and your own two feet. Its expensive if you arent in a city but where there's a will there's a way.

Yeah it has an anti-caking agent :(
I would have to walk 50 minutes to get a bus :(
Very isolated.
What would you recommend to treat?
Should I isolate the fish? I have the wee 14L but it is not cycled so I obviously don't want to put it in it :(
There are a lot of fry in the tank still, hope they will be ok.
I counted around 12 there :O

So annoyed with myself I think I overcleaned the sponge at last water change.

Not had any experience with it before but I believe its linked to poor water quality and the treatment is large water changes and anti-bacterial treatments.

Yeah, poor water quality apparently :(. I wanted to do two water changes this weekend as the fish didn't eat all the food as they were on live foods before and I couldn't get it scooped up. I did one 15L change and my bro helped but then I had taken out 15L and hadn't got to replace it because he was busy as I am not strong enough to hold the bucket high enough to siphon it in on my own. I should have just scooped it in with a jug :(
I've been doing a 15L (one big bucket) change on my 80L once a week, my brother keeps saying I change the water too much and he thinks that's what stressed the fish, but it isn't true right?

Anyone know what make I should get?
Aquarium Salt
API, interpet, SUPA?
My sister should be home today with her car so might be able to get some.

I'm pretty sure that I have seen API salt being recommended on here!

Hope your fish are better soon.

Jo :)

Definitely not doing to many water changes, I'm sure clean water is more important than any products you could add.

What are your nitrite and ammonia readings?

Ok I'll do daily 15L water changes then. I was at lunch ( we have our main meal at lunch) but after I clear up I'll check the water change to see prior levels.

Would temperature affect it? It is unheated? The 50w heater I have has no suction cups so nothing to hold it in. The temperature is at 16 degrees, but fluctuates.
