Just a note for anyone interested to let you know I've started a new blog today on raising mail order Killi eggs.

You can find it here, and I'll be adding pics and updates as the project progresses to (hopefully) a batch of baby Killifish

It varies from species to species and is roughly calculated from the date they are laid in peat. Each species needs a different amount of "drought" time. These have been dated by the seller and have a "wetting" date of he 25th. It may be a little before or a little after and I will judge by the presence of the eyes in the eggs. If it's timed right, the eggs will hatch within a few hours of adding water.

I'll keep them warm until they're large enough to go into a tank by sitting the container on a wine-making heat pad

Nice...I can't find peat in my area... been searching a way to make artificial peat but sounds too impossible xD
