At 35L it's too small for fish sadly. If you're not keenon shrimps, why not use it as just an aquatic plant display?

Just wanted to thank everyone on here who helped me to transfer poor Percy out of his Biube prison 2 weeks ago today .. I've never seen a happier fish, he's always swimming about and at night time he likes to hide behind his fave plant under his filter, as soon as the lights go on in the morning he's up and about swimming all over the place again and giving me his 'food please' face, even when he's been fed already! (I resist)
I'm still keeping a very close eye on the water test results but everything is fine and I've been using my new gravel vacuum (what a great invention!)
So all in all everything is great :) thanks to all the fishy experts on here, will upload some pics at some point if anyone is interested.
Thanks guys

FK love a happy ending abim

Going from 35 litres to 240 litres must have been like winning the lottery for him!

Oh yes, post some pics for us here when you can. It's always lovely to see the results when a fishy lands on its fins. Big brownie points to you too, for your care and concern. He's a lucky fish indeed.

Planning a friend in due course?

I want to get him a ranchu buddy, I think they're so cute, I am worried about giving him a friend though, every time I owned a fish when I was younger I'd always get them a buddy and they'd die soon after, even once I'd quarrantined the new fish for ages :(

I wouldn't worry. It was probably related to tank size/water quality previously and once this tank has settled for a few weeks, that shouldn't be an issue at all. They do like a chum

Hi Abi

Well done on all the care you've given him, a lot of people give up when they hit problems but you have shown how you really care.

Percy is a lucky lucky fish thats for sure.

If only all fish were so lucky to get responsible owners.

As the others have said he'd love a little pal I'm sure and in 240 litres they'd have plenty of room for playtime

Keep us posted if he does get a friend...
