Why? Do you not think it's a good idea?

LFS recon it will be fine. I had a read up about it and yes, a bigger tank would be better but "they" seem to think it will be ok.

I know your quite knowledgeable about these sort of things Howard so your advice would be great to hear.I don't want a poor tortured fish in my tank.

I seem to be having temp problems already and it's not even that hot. I think it's to do with the pumps ( orca tl 450). Temps gone up to 26.5 from 24. I've tried everything to get it down but it just won't budge, without turning all the filtration system off.

Parameters are fine so is SG ect, i was looking to put a maroon clown in tomorrow but i don't like the temp reading. I like things to be spot on. Any idea's? I think it will be fine but i'm not happy about it. Not even summer yet!!

That's true, i'll have a look for the chillers later.

However cooling the whole room wouldn't be a bad thing. I think my wife would kill me if i was cooling the fish tank and leaving the rest of us to sweat our tit's off. Lol

The thing is my house get's red hot(and i mean red hot) in the summer, the insulation is none existent.

I didn't know whether to spend the money on a chiller for the tank or an AC unit for the whole room. Probably much the same in the way of cost. Not sure if the AC in the room would bring the tank temp down or not. In theory it should....I think.

Xbox 360 all the way for me. I love and i mean LOVE anything that involves killing and violence, especially when i comes to killing the Nazi's. Grand theft auto is awesome too. I'm hooked on Nazi's zombies at the end of call of duty at the mo....

.....Yes, i am the sort of person who would go on a murderous rampage!!!

I hate to say it Howard but someone in my LFS told me that!

I thought as much anyway. Shame because there's so many nice different varieties. It makes it very hard to choose your favorite when it comes to the crunch.

So what's the advice on different types of clown together? I was once told that's not a good idea. What do you think?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what the best way would be to cool a nano tank, what with the summer (if we get one) coming up.

I've had a look at some micro chillers mostly from the US on the net but they were a but excessive for the size of the tank ie price wise. When i had a 4ft tank i used to just float ice filled containers on the top.

I'm thinking that i would be better to buy an AC unit and put it in the room where the tank is. Has anyone else got any experience of this sort of thing? If so what have you done in the past?

Cheers guys Dan.

Conclusion...That idea failed. Maybe a maxijet 1200 and a maxijet 900 would probably work better. I'll give that a go......
