Well thankyou so much for the calculations i will go with 1600 litres...I have also just ben informed it was actually used to stop spillage of sodium hypochloride (bleach) so i now know it could not be used to keep fish in it unless a liner was used and to be honest there are no smells from the container at all i wonder if i could test it some how ?..As to using it as a feature for the garden i rhink it is way to big for that as my garden is a bit to small and i think it would look out of place as to bracing it i would do that when i use decking around it if i do manage to be able to use it regards brian

Hi all i was given a large container and i want to make a pond with it it measures 62" x 62" x 33" deep i calculate that to 2078.732 litres what would be a good pump/filter for it ? And would it be cheaper to make my own filter ? what i want to do is sink it in the ground about 12" then deck around the rest of it if anyone has any other ideas please let me know regards brian
