I have been recommended to get rid as i'm new to marine and have had a couple of 'coral incidents !!. Still looking for a small black crab.
I live in Newton Abbot and work in Exeter, can be collected from Plymouth. Mike |

This is my only tank. I have spent so much time getting this one right I think it will be a while before I consider another or larger tank!
I have seen both crabs what is the best way to get them out they are very shy and any movement they hide. Other kits I have are PH (around 8 and I have buffer added)Calcium. Cheers mike PS Did the photos upload I can't see them?? |

Hi thanks for the reply.
I bought the tank about 4 weeks ago second hand. It was well established but needing a bit of TLC. I have done plenty of cleaning and water changes and all levels are good Salinity 1022, Nitrate 5-10, Calcium 410. Temp is 23-25. It is a 200 lt tank with fluval 305 pump and protein skimmer, two powerheads. I have about 25kg live rock and 3 x hermits, mushrooms, zoas and a 2 1/2 legged red star fish (seems healthy enough)& red lipped clam. Also have a teddy bear crab and just spotted another small hard shelled crab. The coral and one mushroom are the only thing that seem to have an issue. Pictures now included (forgot to upload !! |
