I've got the above aquarium with the standard twin fluorescent bulbs both white/blue but I quite fancy changing the whole lot for LEDs anyone done this or can recommend lights that would fit

has everyone stopped feeding ? my pond temp is 4 degrees and the fish aren't really interested in food but my sturgeon are, im still feeding them but if the temp rises again do i go back to giving them weatgerm or is that it until next year ?

i use a generic brand from my local fish shop (discovery aquatics)) in Dundee I get a sack sized bag for £12 the fish seem to like it fine im now using tetra pond weatgerm sticks as the temp is down to about 7-8 degrees in my pond I also use sturgeon pellets down to about 3-5 degrees as my sturgeon keep feeding at lower temps

we had an otter empty my pond last year it left no fish carcases around the pond at all it also cleaned out at least 3 other ponds in the local area some as far as 2 miles away from my pond it had escaped from a local wildlife centre they were more than delighted to get it back after a local pond keeper caught it until the subject of compensation came up then they tried to deny it was there's

It's an oase filtoclear 30000 one the bulb is huge so it must sit vertically

as the title says i tried them with some weatgerm yesterday and after a few seconds of whats this ? it was like a scene from the piharana movies anyone else started yet ?
i even bought a new uv bulb for changing at the start of april, £40 for a bulb i must be daft !! |

we had a building site near us and i got a piece of corrugated drain pipe out of the skip 1ts plastic and 10" in diameter i drilled some holes in the side walls so I wouldn't float and hey presto the perfect fish hideout

just a little update on the elusive otter that the local wildlife centre claimed wasnt theres. after it was recaptured by another local pondkeeper after eating £2000 worth of his fish theyhave admitted it was there missing otter
