lol, well the bi carbonate soda has been sprinkled yesterday evening and now just hoovered after 24 hours, the smell seem to be less and less each day so I think I got to sit and wait it out.

yes, thanks cathie, might try that.... but got another advice using the same thing with soda , baking powder and a few drops of lemon juice on A DAMP carpet?!!

To me that sounds really explosive!!

might do it your way first!!

Already tried with frebreeze and shake n vac with poor results.

Carpet is dry on the third day. The smell is fading slowly....but still there.

The carpet is not stained by the way. I just need to get rid of the smell... help!

I would choose gravel over sand too. Less risk for the fish's gills/scales.

is this table with glass top? will there be constant ventilation somewhere? or have a filter? it is an idea that cropped up many times here but we would advise against this as it is impractical or unsuitable for the fish welfare. How will you feed it? you would have to lift it up every day by clearing the content on table first etc.

it's a 12 for me. Thought I had too many but I am pratically an angel judging all the others here...

all my worldy good is in my only room as I house share so I think I have done quite well! There two wall sockets so you can imagine how many extension sockets i am using!
