Really was not to bad at all. If he started freaking out then that would of been a little upsetting but everything went smoothly, very peaceful. Just went to sleep and didnt wake up.
I must admit I'm very tempted to get another goldfish. How long do you think the 60L tank would would suit a growing goldfish? I do have I heater that come with the tank, never plugged it in, assume it works |

There has been no gill movement for quite some time so may already be gone. Have now added the vodka and will leave to rest. No distress at all, so glad I found this info.

5 drops of clove into 50ml of tank water? The instructions say 1drop?
I have bee slowly adding the 50ml mix into the container he his in but don't seem to be that effective. Think I should make up a stronger mix then? |

He has been in the clove/water mixture for 10mins and gill movement still looks quite rapid. From the instructions I should reshake and add another quarter. Keep doing until gill movement very slow?

Just wanted to update everyone. Unfortunately Bob has only got worse. Don't swim about at all just lying on the bottom of the tank all the time.
Not seen his eat for ages. So only choice left now is to put him out of his misery, can anyone please give me a link to how to performe the clove oil/vodka? Also best way to dispose once deed is done? Now I have all the equipment it would be a shame not to get another fish, should I do anything while the tank is empty, maybe clean it out? Make sure it's cycled properly? Look in to a better filter? |
