I feared as much the problem originally arose before Xmas with some red barbs I had introduced I thought I had eradicated completely end up closing that tank down however their still seems to be a trace of it still lurking despite several large water changes. ... I'll do perform full tests again tomorrow and double check....mi shall also update my profile thanks

Hi I have several fish appearing with a greyish growth around their mouths these include 4 fillament barbs and about 2 rainbows ....I've have treated initially with matalix and possibly prmifix treated with 3 table spoons of salt per galleo raising the temp for 2wks.... None of this has either made it worse or better. A week ago I dipped them for 30min in a meth blue bath and this also appears not to have worked any advice or suggestions would be welcomed

Thanks for u quick response and kinda at the realisation point as far as the gudgeons concerned so I'll let them be :(
I'll check out that link and once again ur advice is always valued I'm sure I have looked their a fair while ago but i will revisit and try fill the gaps :).... The marbles is a new one for me ! It's just trying to get to grips with undrrstanding and knowing when spawning has actually occurred I know with congos it's most likely to be in the morning but just wish I knew of some tale tale signs when this has actually occurred but guessing if they carrying eggs the. Will appear slimmer after spawning so it maybe a case of careful observeration but thanks again :) |

Hi and thanks a lot for ur previous advice all fish are now thriving but I after successfully breeding my angels I would now like to turn my hand to either my barbs, Congo tetra or empire gudgeons now the main challenge I got with these is knowing when and if they have scattered their eggs and when and if to remove from the breeding tank ur insight wld be most appreciated ...also my empire gudgeons which I have been reassured are a pair the male is showing no signs of colouring up I have varied the diet and relise these are very challenging to breed as they are brackish fish currently kept in fresh water. Thanks I'm advance for any insight or advice toy maybe able to assist me with.

Hi was wondering what advice u give in regards to my breeding pr of angels they are currently parenting wigglers but I noticed what looks to be a single little white worm on one underneath it's side fin I suspect the other may also have one on its side but really small and hard to tell I have treated with aquaruim salt while I investigate the best course of action your advice wld be most welcomed. Part of the dilemma is the fact they r currently parenting their young kindest regards Tony

Well that's a relief and judging be her injuries I don't actually think its fin rot as it looks like she has been visiously attacked however the concern is now obviously infection leading to fin rot. Should I treat as if it was finrot anyway ?

Unfortunatly the choose file option is greyed out! I could possibly email you the picture ? But I will begin treatment with esha2000 only untill I find out exactly what it is. I have been googling but so far no joy.
