I'm looking at replacing my bulbs on my tank and have t8 36" bulbs currently on there. I have 2 dual light units and all have the same bulbs in them that have been in there since I brought the tank second hand 2years ago. Which are Arcadia freshwater tropical.
I have been looking at getting a blue moonlight lamp for one of the units, and was wondering what experiences you guys have had with them, also other people suggest 10,000k lights but they seem to be for marine?? Thanks in advance |

So just pour it over and then tip the water away or leave it to soak in there?

Ocean rock is now in soaking and is quite clean. I hosed it all down as had been in my shed for a few months now. With the boiling method do you just put the rocks into a bucket and pour boiling water over them?

Thanks for all your replies I'm going to start the job of soaking it tonight, it hasn't been in water for about 4 months now does that make any difference? How long should I soak it and how about boiling? Cheers again you folk on here are lifesavers, well fish savers :)

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me out, I brought some ocean rock locally second hand and it came from a marine tank which I found out after I had brought it, and was wondering if it's ok to use and what sort of cleaning or soaking before I put it in my cichlid setup. Thanks for you help
