thankyou for replying, also sorry to keep on, on my live rock i have little purple things there are quite a few of these, is this a good sign or bad thing? thankyou

hi, i am new to the marine tank setup. i have had my tank (orca TL-450) for about a week and had no major problems, i have had brownish algae growing on my live rock is this a bad thing? i test my water every couple of days the readings are:
PH - 8.0 - 8.2 Ammonia - 0.2 Nitrate - 0.2 Nitrate - 17 do these readings sound on course? is there any general information that someone could give me they i may need to know or am i doing ok? Paul |
