Haha, no Violet, no offence taken, I am a small wingless parasite who does indeed live in a slightly damp house!

It's the username I use on most other sites for the last 10 years, except twitter where I'm @viriconia, just thought I'd amalgamate!

Will I change my avatar to a big gross closeup of insect-face?

That's horrible!

I always wonder about the goldfish in these setups, usually the owners defend the set up saying 'Oh they're really active and swimming about!' - if mine were swimming about as fast and frantically as that I'd be trying to find out what was wrong!

We need Fish Police, who call around and take the fish off these people.

I can't even look at most youtube videos any more, they make me cranky!

Had to put her to sleep earlier, she was really in a bad way, still eating and swimming but she was so bloated and pineconed, her scales were actually coming off, and her belly was actually wobbling when she tried to swim :/

So I gave her a big dinner of bloodworms in the bucket, and then used the clove oil.

Still have blind chu and seeing-eye chu looking lost in the tank by themselves, I'm seeing some slight raised scales on seeing-eye chu's side (he's the guy with the lump on his fin) but to be honest, I could be imagining it, and he's not the sleekest of fish to begin with, like you said before, it's like trying to tile a ball!

His stomach does look a tiny bit bloated to me, but at this stage again, I could be just jumping at shadows.

Last dose of metronidazole tomorrow, then we'll see from there.

After some googling, it appears I was the victim of misinformation. I tweeted it too, so now everyone thinks I'm an idiot.

I can't knit, crochet, sew OR get my facts right! Disaster!

A twit is also a pregnant goldfish, so it's all relevant!

Mr Silverfish said if I bring any more snails into the house, that he'll be leaving, but if they're under the substrate they don't count, right?

Thank you Goldy, but I'm in Ireland, would they survive the trip?

EDIT: Oh yes, I have nerites distributed across four tanks, I absolutely love them, even if they've peppered the place with their little eggs. I have both stripy, tracked and hairy (can't get horned nerites here, they don't travel well apparently), such a wonderful busy little snail!

Would they be okay with goldies? And dorset pea gravel?

I am a soft touch for pretty snails!
