Re: Works do! #259681
Well we've organised another works do this week! This one is going to be held at the College in the main hall. I've booked a DJ (who is so good that he normally charges £450) and he has agreed to only charge us £250 because we're going to sell tickets in aid of the Tsunami Earthquake Appeal. We've even convinced the Principal to pay for the DJ out of his own pocket!

Re: Just thought youd like to know #259683
i can only imagine what it would be like if/when i get a big house with alot of land...animals running every which way, joe already has plans for a giant indoor warm water pond that he wants to fill with oscars..plus i always wanted to start a stable, whole lotta dogs running around horse, cats, even had a "hamster room" thought up...hoo boy id have to employ some one to help me take care of all those, when i got done "doing the rounds" it would be time to start over from the begining again!!

Re: Foam #259687
Peter

Just had a thought what about the top of a juice bottle fitted over the pipe. Not sure about diameters but it could be worth checking.

Just an idea.

Re: Foam #259688
Foam would be a lot better as it can be wrapped around the outlet pipe to block the hole in the filter box.

I don't imagine foam will be expensive, otherwise it wouldn't be used on plants.

Juwel background ?
Now that is expensive

Re: Foam #259689
Peter

Would netting not be better if it is aroung the filter outlet. Other than that have you put any of the Juwel backing on the tank as that foam will be safe since it is for the tank. Expensive option for what you are trying to do.

Cheers,

Martyn

Re: What Where We Thinking #259690
I am not suprised really I mean I was reading in one of my old Tetra coldwater fish books only yesterday and it tells you to clean the filter sponges under running water things have changed so much
