I like very much !Is your substrate sand or fine gravel. Is it ordinary slate - sorry if this is a daft question ! |

Hi, thank you for the feedback.
The substrate is B&Q play sand which I thoroughly cleaned, repeatedly! The slate I obtained locally, which the Isle of Man is well know for. After testing with vinegar drops I scrubbed the slate with a scourer over and over to ensure all the muck was off. I then soaked it in boiling water, rinsed and repeated until I was satisfied. After that its just a matter of a little aquarium safe silicone - 48 hours later it's good to go :) |
