Yes, buy some replacement wool floss from the pond section of the lfs. Cut it to size and replace. Really these should be cleaned in tap water weekly and replaced when they get grotty.
When you clean them in tap water it kills all the nitrate generating bacteria but you dont want to add chlorinated water that might be trapped in the floss back to your tank so follow the cleaning with a good rinse in the old tank water. |
