he's gorgeous! i love blennies, something about the faces, they look like like 'people fish'!
you can get dried seaweed which algae eating fish will eat, you just have to tear a bit off and clip it inside tank. he may eat algae based pellets too, worth a try ![]() |

Cheers Coralline, I'l give it a go. Yeah the faces are really cool and his eyebrows are mad and they also swim weird, kinda like a dragon or am i watching too many cartoons

Looks like a Jewelled rockskipper (Salarias Fasciatus) I have one aswell. They are great Characters. Mine sits on the highest piece of Live rock and looks down over the tank like he's some sort of king. Every now and then he allows the cleaner shrimps to approach him to clean his mouth, like their HIS servants.

Iv got brown algae popping up all over my 90l tank and iv got fancy goldfish.-which their not touching!! Can i have one of these cool looking fish or is there anyelse more suitable..?

These blennies are marine fish so def not suitable for keeping with goldies. The brown algae will go away on its own in time, it is common in new/newish set ups. Best bet is to use a magnetic scraper to scrape it off with

Common name is a lawnmower blenny; latin name is Salarias fasciatus. I've had one for 7 years and he does great being fed the dried algae sheets. Prefers the red/brown sheets over the green ones but takes both.
Good luck. They are great fish and get along with just about anything. |
