I'm not sure TBH! I didn't know there was such a thing
He's certainly not a reddish coloured fish like you'd expect... is his body the right shape?? I didn't think he looked as streamlined as I'd expect him to be Myabe me being daft ![]() |

As dragonlord suggested he may be stunted the reason for his shape poor luv
but in maidenhead aquatics they sell yellow goldfish as canary goldfish my sister inlaw bought 4 about 4-5 inches nose to tail for her pond a few months ago and they have produced babies already ![]() see link ![]() http://www.waterzoo.co.uk/cw/Coldwater%20stock%20list.htm |

I got a bargain then as he was free! Poor fishy stunted growth, his prison tank was ridiculously small for him and like I said he's 5 now and about 4-5 inches long, he sound be double that. I had a feeling his weird shape was due to being stunted. Never mind, he's in a big tank now and will hopefully be in a pond at some point.

The best way to sex goldfish is that when mature males have breeding tubercles and females are rounder, both are best viewed from the side
see link below for a male ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldy/147836775/in/set-72057594137009852/ |
