 Re: Gumsberg the red Oranda (pre Wen growth)Looking at the size i would still say that its a young fish, im not sure when they start to grow the hood (wen) but it could be when they are sexual mature, also the hood depends on the pedagree of the fish, if the parents didnt have brilliant hoods then the offspring willnt either, or if its a cross between a oranda and a ryukin or something then the hood willnt be great if there is a hood.

Re: Gumsberg the red Oranda (pre Wen growth) He/She is about 3cm long. His wen has grown noticeably in the two weeks that we have had him.
His head was totally flat a couple of weeks ago and now it it raised by about a couple of millimetres. Will post another picture in a couple of weeks if I manage to get the Hikari food tomorrow.  |

Re: Gumsberg the red Oranda (pre Wen growth) I fed him a variety of foods but none that say it helps wen growth, he is about 3 and a half inches not incuding his tail but quite tall and round too
 his tail is very long now more like a veiltail, if you include his tail I would say about 7 inches altogether bit hard to measure when he won't keep still long enough  |
