Thanks, you've got good eyesight, it is a clown, but it looks abit like a goldfish on there! i have only 2 clowns in there right now, its been set up for about 8 weeks (5 weeks no livestock), and i know the best way to do things is with patience, but i will get a few more fish next tuesday (tax back off IR finally!!) so i'll add a few more pics then. I hope to get a regal tang in there, maybe a firefish aswell(is that what they're called), do you know if those 2 are compatible?

I'm afraid I know very little about marine fish-my aquariumis a coldwater one (there is a picture of it on the coldwater gallery)
I have read in my Aquarium manual today though that Regal Tangs are herbivorous and feed mainly on algae, whereas Firefish like live food. Firefish are apparently quite timid and will hide in the sand if boisterous fish are present. They can also jump if frightened and need to be kept in a tank with a tight fitting cover glass. Sorry I can't be of more help-perhaps if you post something on the marine forum one of the other marine aquarists will be able to give you more info. Good luck with your new fish! Maz ![]() |
