General Information: Commonly known as the Xray tetra for its transluscent body, the Pristella has a silver body-sack covering internal organs and a red tail. Fins (especially dorsal) are white, black and yellow barred.
Tank Requirements: See Minimum Tank Volume and Minimum Tank Size above
Diet Requirements: Omnivorous. Will take pellets and flakes as well as live/frozen foods.
Compatibility: Peaceful. Not as timid as some some reports say, so long as they're kept in groups of 6 or more.
Recommendations: Planted tank with plenty of swimming space.

Similar Species: Other tetra
Sexing: Males tend to be slimmer than females.
Breeding: Difficult
